TL;DR: This Week in Lead Actor Weekly

From the Desk of Joey Freddy Larsen:
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving Eh!
Today I'm feeling grateful. For family, for the people who show up for us, and for the wonderfully unpredictable privilege of being an actor.
And this week, I've got an actor's win that perfectly captures what I've been thinking about.
Gratitude Is Wonderful. Preparation Is Powerful.
I'm grateful for every opportunity that comes my way. But being grateful doesn't mean leaving the result entirely to chance.
When an audition arrives, honour the opportunity by giving it your best.
And that's where things can get tricky.
Community Wins: Russell Bat Booked the Commercial

Russell came into Actors Audition Club to record his audition with our coach, Brandon Knox.
He got the callback!
So he booked another AAC session to prepare for the the callback. He rehearsed with a coach from the parking lot, so he could go into the room warmed up and ready to rock.
And then he BOOKED THE COMMERCIAL!
But here's my favourite part.
After booking the job, Russell booked more preparation sessions with Actors Audition Club ahead of his shoot day.
Let me be clear so you see it: Russell invested in his work before the audition. Then again before the callback. And he's continuing to invest now that he's booked so he shows up on the day and delivers his absolute best work when it matters.
Russell understands something every actor can benefit from remembering: You can't control the casting decision. But you can control your preparation, choices, and readiness for every opportunity.
Now you might be thinking "But Joey, commitment to my craft still doesn't guarantee a booking." And that's true, nothing guarantees you'll book the job. But when you take ownership of the things you can control, you increase the odds that your result is a big win.
Huge congratulations to Russell, and to Brandon for supporting his work along the way!

Your Next Move: Meet AuditionOS
Ever Get an Audition and Wonder Where to Begin?
You get the email. Exciting! Then you open the scenes, look at the deadline, and the questions start piling up.
What does this character really want? What's happening underneath the words? Which choices are worth exploring? Where do I start? When am I going to rehearse? Who will be my reader? Should I get coaching? How am I going to hit this deadline on such short notice?
You read it again. Research the show. Make notes. Second-guess a choice. Suddenly you've spent half your available time figuring out how to prepare instead of actually preparing.
And when you're balancing work, life, and multiple auditions, those hours matter.
Your creative energy belongs in the performance, not in the scramble to figure out where to begin.
Turn Your Next Audition into a Personalized Game Plan
That's one of the biggest reasons I've been building AuditionOS.
Your next audition arrives. You add it to AuditionOS, and it helps you turn the opportunity into a personalized audition game plan, so you can explore the character, make stronger choices, and arrive at your performance with greater clarity.
Prepare faster. Perform stronger. Give yourself a better shot at booking the role.
Every audition may not require a coaching session, but every audition deserves thoughtful preparation. AuditionOS is being built to help you do just that.

Career Momentum: What Might Be Holding You Back?
And What If the Obstacle Isn't Your Talent?
There's another side of taking ownership of your career that has nothing to do with learning lines or analysing a scene.
Have you ever put off reaching out to an agent because your materials weren't quite ready? Talked yourself out of a bold choice because it felt risky? Spent so much time planning the next move that you never made it?
Perfectionism disguised as professionalism. Procrastination disguised as preparation. Fear disguised as being realistic.
Sometimes we know what would move our careers forward, but the conversation happening between our ears keeps us from acting on it.
That's why I want to share another opportunity with you this week.
The Success Accelerator: A Free 5-Day Mindset Challenge
My friend Brad Bizjack is hosting a free five-day Success Accelerator beginning Monday, October 19.
It's designed to help you identify limiting beliefs, interrupt patterns that slow your momentum, and build confidence to take meaningful action.
It's not specifically an acting program. But the patterns it addresses show up in acting careers every day, from pitching yourself for bigger roles to pursuing representation or creating your own opportunities.

ONE LAST THANKSGIVING THOUGHT
Celebrate the auditions, the callbacks, the bookings, the relationships, and the creative discoveries. Celebrate the people who helped you get here.
And remember: you may not get to choose the next opportunity, but you do get to choose what you bring to it.
This week, what's one thing you can do to be ready when it arrives?
Happy (Canadian) Thanksgiving Eh!
